Tonight: The Jayhawks at The Music Hall of Williamsburg

Jayhawks 2016 smaller

The Jayhawks are a band from Minneapolis formed in the mid-1980s.  Members Gary Louris and Mark Olson formed the core of the band until Mark left the band in the mid-90s. Gary continues to write and tour with Marc Perlman, Karen Grotberg, and Tim O’Reagan (although Mark briefly rejoined the band a few years back).  Their new album, Paging Mr. Proust, was produced with Peter Buck and Tucker Martine.  Americana? Alt Country? Rock with harmonies? The Jayhawks are the band you want to hear.  Since the other Jayhawks show in NYC (at The Bowery Ballroom tomorrow night) is sold out, this is your chance to see the band this time around.

The Jayhawks (Folk Uke opens), The Music Hall of Williamsburg, 66 North 6th Street between Wythe and Kent Avenues (L Train to Bedford Avenue), show 9pm, $35
