Long time readers of Now I’ve Heard Everything will recognize the names of both Teddy Thompson and Kelly Jones and remember them as solo artists. A while back they ended up singing together on stage and decided that their voices blended so well that they should play together.
Teddy and Kelly sing original ballads with a 50s country and early rock n roll flavor. I saw them live at SXSW last month and can confirm that their voices work amazingly well together. Their onstage banter is very funny. Tonight’s show at City Winery is the CD release show for their new album, Little Windows. As of this writing (Tuesday morning), there are just a few tickets left for the show. So if you’d like to go, you should probably buy your seats in advance to avoid disappointment at the door.
Teddy Thompson and Kelly Jones, City Winery, 155 Varick Street between Spring and Vandam Streets (2 or 3 Trains to Houston or Canal Streets, C or E Train to Spring Street), doors 6pm / show 8pm, $22, $25, $28
