Well, today is the Super Bowl. If you want to see live music and see the game, there are a couple of afternoon shows I can recommend. And if you don’t care to see the game, there is a show tonight you can see as well.
First up today is singer-songwriter Lianne Smith, a long time Now I’ve Heard Everything favorite. Lianne writes literate, tuneful songs and plays them solo on her electric guitar. You’ll find her playing at Mayflower Social in Clinton Hill at 2pm.
Over in Park Slope, you’ll find a special, extra early 3:30pm edition of The Radigan Roundup. This show is run by Terry Radigan on Sundays at The 12th Street Bar and Grill. As usually, Terry will play a short set and is joined today by Benjamin Cartel, Warren Malone, Gibson Malone, Paul Fairall , Steve Mayone, Kieran J. Mulvaney, Bev Grant and Shaky Dave.
Finally, tonight, at Tom Clark’s Treehouse at 2A, you’ll find Jack Grace and Jody Porter. Starting at 8:45 pm, they will be holding down the fort in the East Village while a couple of football teams play the last game of the season in the San Francisco Bay area.
