The Del-Lords were formed in New York City back in 1982. They were a rock n roll guitar band starting out during a time when synthesizers briefly held the pop public’s attention. The Del-Lords put out four records. But at the beginning of the 90s, the band broke up. A few years ago three of the four members of the band (Scott Kempner, Eric Ambel and Frank Funaro) got back together. In fits and starts they recorded Elvis Club, Now I’ve Heard Everything’s Best Album of 2013.
The Del-Lords are currently working on the follow up to Elvis Club. They found an open date on their schedule and on short notice booked this show. Take this opportunity to see one of New York City’s best tonight at Beast of Bourbon. You can get great BBQ, and have a choice of 42 draft beers and over 40 bourbons there as well.
The Del-Lords, Beast of Bourbon, 710 Myrtle Avenue between Walworth and Spencer Streets (G Train to Myrtle – Willoughby), 9pm, No Cover (but a $20 suggested contribution for the musicians is highly recommended)
