If you are a regular reader of Now I’ve Heard Everything, you no doubt know that a number of musicians followed by NIHE have moved out of New York City (primarily to Los Angeles and Nashville) over the past few years. Clearly, NYC has become more expensive to live in over the past decade or so. It’s also become a more difficult place to make a decent living as a musician.
Still, for many of us, New York is our home. Now Dion, who grew up in The Bronx, has teamed up with two other musicians, both native New Yorkers, on a song fittingly titled New York Is My Home. The song was co-written by Dion and Scott Kempner (of The Del-Lords), and was recorded by Dion and Paul Simon. Here is the official video of that song.
