Tonight: The Radigan Roundup at 12th Street Bar or Tribute to Wild Honey at The Treehouse at 2A

Choices Large

Here are two good shows which are basically running opposite each other.  So you’ll have to pick one or the other.

The Radigan Roundup is run by Terry Radigan on Sundays at Park Slope’s 12th Street Bar and Grill.  As usually, Terry will play a short set and is joined tonight by Andi Rae Healy, Jeff LitmanBenjamin Cartel, Jessie Kilguss, and Kevin James Doyle.  At the Roundup, the music is usually stripped down and things are loose and spontaneous.  Things will get going tonight at 7:30pm  and run through 10:30pm, but getting to The 12th Street Bar and Grill early for a seat (the place is on the small size) is not a bad idea.

Over in the East Village, you’ll find Wild Honey at The Treehouse.  This tribute to The Beach Boys‘ 1967 album features Tom Shad, Dave Foster, Dennis Diken, Mike Fornatale, Lane Steinberg, Charles Roth, and Mary Spencer Knapp.  Opening the evening will be Shira Averbuch. She will be previewing songs from her upcoming debut album Till The Sun Comes with Paul Carbonara.

The Radigan Roundup with  Terry Radigan, Andi Rae Healy, Jeff LitmanBenjamin Cartel, Jessie Kilguss, and Kevin James Doyle, 12th Street Bar and Grill, 1123 8th Avenue – enter on 12th Street, Park Slope (F or G Trains to 7th Avenue, use the 8th Avenue exit), 7:30pm, No Cover, (but a contribution for the musicians is highly encouraged)

Wild Honey at The Treehouse (Shira Averbuch opens), Treehouse at 2A, 25 Avenue A between Houston and 2nd Streets (F Train to 2nd Avenue, use the 1st Avenue exit, F Train to Delancey Street or J Train to Essex Street), 9pm, No Cover (but a contribution for the musicians is highly encouraged)
