Tonight: Bryan Dunn at Pianos and Julia Haltigan at The 11th Street Bar

Bryan Dunn 2015

It’s two for Tuesday; that is, two shows, not all that far from one another, each from a long time Now I’ve Heard Everything favorite.  First up, at 7pm, Bryan Dunn will bring his folk rock and Americana to Pianos.  Bryan’s songs run the gamut from literate to humorous to poignant and frequently can be described as literature with a guitar.  You can also sing along to many of them.  Bryan will be playing solo tonight.

Julia Haltigan 11 Street bw

Once Brian finishes his set, take a walk, ride the bus or grab a cab up Avenue A.  Just east of it, on 11th Street at the 11th Street Bar, Julia Haltigan will be playing.  Tuesdays at 11th Street used to be a regular gig for Julia.

If you don’t know Julia or her music, all you need to know is that she sings, plays guitar and her material draws on rock, r&b, latin rhythms, 40s and 50s pop and more.  Some of Julia’s songs could be called  Tom Waitsian except for the fact that they are way too cheerful for Tom.  So there is no reason not to get your self down to the 11th Street Bar in the East Village tonight and see Julia, who will be playing solo tonight as well.
