Cameo Gallery Logo
Another one bites the dust.  Cameo Gallery, the music and art space hidden as if it were a speakeasy behind a restaurant and bar on North 6th Street in Williamsburg, will be closing on November 21st.  Nevertheless, Cameo will be open for another seven weeks and will be taking part in CMJ.  This is the fourth venue to close in Williamsburg over the past year or so, with Zebulon, Spike Hill and The Trash Bar being the other three.

Vinyl LP

Vinyl matters.  According to a report on music industry sales, vinyl LPs are bringing in more money than streaming does.  The report was recently issued by the RIAA and covers the first half of 2015. In that period, vinyl sales equaled $222 million, while the revenue brought in by streaming was $163 million.  That report can be viewed here in full.
