As the sign indicates, tonight offers choices. Over in Gowanus at The Bell House, The 10th Brooklyn Country Music Festival continues on this, its second night. Playing there this evening will be Julia Haltigan, Your Ex-Girlfriends, Aron Blue and the Bootleggers, Andy Friedman and The Other Failures, Gangstagrass and Susquehanna Industrial Tool & Die Co. The evening kicks off at 7pm and will continue through midnight.
On the other side of the East River, Drina Seay with the help of Homeboy Steve will play The Sidewalk Cafe at 10pm. This is a belated double birthday show (both Drina and Steve celebrated them last week) and there will be lots of Americana and alt country in the air.
Finally, at 11:30pm, Elizabeth and The Catapult will light up The Rockwood Music Hall Stage 3. Elizabeth is in the midst of recording a new record over in Los Angeles and is back in town for just a bit. You’ll hear her classical tinged indie pop tonight, and maybe a new song or two will show up in the mix.
