Singer-songwriter Misty Boyce, is a long time Now I’ve Heard Everything favorite. I first saw her at the original stage of The Rockwood Music Hall five years ago, where she wowed me with her songwriting, singing and musicianship. Many things have changed since 2010, and to the extent that Misty has changed as a musician, she’s gotten better. Back then, Misty played keyboards, now she’s expanded to guitar as well. Over the past two years, she’s also traveled the United States and the world playing in the bands of, and sometimes opening for, Sara Bareilles and Joy Williams.
Misty already has two full length records (including The Life, released just this past January) and a couple of EPs to her credit, and has hinted that she might play a new song or two tonight as well. Misty now lives in Los Angeles, so take this opportunity to see her. You’ll understand why one fellow musician once dubbed her “sweetheart of the music hall.”
