Tonight: Milton at The Living Room or Leslie Mendelson at The 11th Street Bar

Choices Large

Tonight is a night that some long time Now I’ve Heard Everything favorites play close in time to each other.  But remember when you are presented multiple good choices, whatever choice you make is a good one.

The music of Milton (the name of the band as well as its leader) is a combination of Americana,  country, and folk-rock.  During the years, Milton has played a four week residency at The Living Room every February.  With the club closed last year, that did not happen.  But now that The Living Room has reopened in Williamsburg, that four night stand will resume, and you’ll find Milton there tonight and the next three Wednesday at 9pm.

If you head over to the East Village, you’ll also find an old friend playing, this time at the comfy and hospitable 11th Street Bar. There Leslie Mendelson will play The 11th Street Bar starting at 11pm.  Last year, Leslie had been mostly missing from the NYC scene, spending much of 2014 in England.  But she’ll bring her finely crafted adult pop with her tonight.

Milton, The Living Room, 134 Metropolitan Avenue between Berry Street and Wythe Avenue (G to Metropolitan Avenue, L to Bedford Avenue or Lorimer Street), 9pm, $10

Leslie Mendelson, 11th Street Bar, 510 E. 11th Street between Avenues A &B (Any train to 14th Street or L Train to 1st Avenue, then transfer to the 14 A bus to 11th Street), 11pm, No Cover
