In 1982, The Dream Syndicate released its first album, The Days of Wine and Roses. In 2012, in honor of that event, the band, which broke up for good as the 1980s ended, got back together. The latest version of The Dream Syndicate is made up of Steve Wynn (guitar, vocals), Dennis Duck (drums), Mark Walton (bass) and Jason Victor (guitar). Tonight, The Dream Syndicate will play Rough Trade, their first show in New York City since the 80s. That show is sold out, so here is the next best thing: a live 30 minute video of the band playing live on KEXP just a few months back. This video includes four songs: Tell Me When It’s Over, That’s What You Always Say, John Coltrane Stereo Blues, and The Days of Wine and Roses.
And The Dream Syndicate will be playing Rough Trade again tomorrow and that show is not sold out.
Update: As of 8;50am this morning, there are now tickets on sale for tonight’s show too! Here’s the info:
