Tonight: The Kennedys at The Rockwood Music Hall Stage 3

The Kennedys (Pete and Maura) have been playing together since 1994. Usually, when they play live it’s just the two of them.  Even so, with their two guitars, they still get a rather full sound.   I’ve always described the full band Kennedys as sounding like The Byrds but with female lead vocals.

Tonight’s show celebrates the 20th Anniversary of The Kennedys.  So Pete and Maura will be playing requests from their past two decades and will be throwing in some brand new songs as well.  If you’ve seen The Kennedys before, you’ll want to be at this show, and if they are new to you, this is a great way to catch up with their career over the past two decades.

This all takes place at the cozy, all seated Rockwood Stage 3.  It’s also an early show (7:30pm), great for those who don’t like to stay out late.

The Kennedys, Rockwood Stage 3, 185 Orchard Street between Houston and Stanton Streets (F Train to 2nd Avenue, use the 1st Avenue exit), 7:30pm, $15, with a $10 drink minimum
