Jahn Xavier is a New York original. Jahn’s music is intelligent, rocking and soulful. In fact, the record that he made with his band, The Bowerytones, last year, Yes, You, was one of Now I’ve Heard Everything’s Best Albums of 2013.
Last week’s set over in Brooklyn at Beast of Bourbon was supposed to be the band’s last show for 2014. But Jahn, Charlie and Tom had such a great time playing, they’re going to do it again tonight, this time at the cozy and inviting Treehouse at 2A in the East Village. If this show is anything like the last one (which really was a blowout) you’ll not only hear some Jahn Xavier and The Bowerytones favorites but also some new songs and covers.
George Gilmore will be opening the night of music at The Treehouse at 9pm. George plays a blend of country, alt country, Americana and even gospel.
Jahn Xavier and The Bowerytones, Treehouse at 2A, 25 Avenue A at 2nd Street (F Train to Delancey Street or 2nd Avenue, use the 1st Avenue exit, but note that the uptown F is not stopping at these stations), 10pm, No Cover (but a contribution for the musicians is highly encouraged)
