Tonight City Winery offers a free showing of  End of the Century, a documentary about The Ramones.  This showing is free, with the only catch being that you have to RSVP in order to get in (click here to do so).  I’ve seen this film and can recommend it.  Here’s what City Winery has to say about the movie:

End of the Century: The Story of the Ramones is a 2003 documentary film about highly influential New York punk rock band the Ramones. The film, produced and directed by Jim Fields and Michael Gramaglia, documents the band’s history from their formation in the early 1970s and 22 subsequent years of touring, to their 1996 breakup and the deaths of three of the four original members. The title is taken from the Ramones’ 1980 album, End of the Century.

End of the Century: The Story of the Ramones, City Winery, 155 Varick Street between Spring and Vandam Streets (1 Train to Houston or Canal Streets, C or E Trains to Spring Street), doors 6pm / film 8pm, Free with RSVP (click here to do so)
