There’s a lot of activity on the Norah Jones front these days. Her new album, Little Broken Hearts, comes out at the beginning of May. A couple of songs from that album have had official videos issued, and the the video for the song Happy Pills, is quite film noir-ish.
But while looking at the new stuff, I found this video of Back to Manhattan, a song from Norah’s 2009 album, The Fall. In my review of that that album back when it came out in 2009 (over on another website, Only The Blog Knows Brooklyn, before Now I’ve Heard Everything began), I said:
[T]he song to which I keep returning is Back to Manhattan. It chronicles what seems to be an affair. It is melancholy and honest, and for that it ends up being the emotional heart of The Fall.
I still feel that way.
