Chuck Prophet and The Mission Express and Stephanie Finch and The Company Men at The Bowery Electric were long scheduled to be the show for the Thursday night just passed. Their show did not disappoint. Stephanie started off with a 45 minute set based on her recently released album, Cry Tomorrow. Then Chuck came on and he and the Mission Expressed blistered the place for an hour and 45 minutes. As always, people were up and dancing, particularly to You Did, the song whose video I previously posted here.
I had started the evening by seeing The Living Room set of Vancouver’s Hannah Georgas. I had wandering in to The Rockwood Music Hall early on Wednesday, caught the end of Hannah’s set on Wednesday and decided to see her full show on Thursday as well. Hannah’s sound is a pop/rock, perhaps a bit like but less quirky than her fellow Canadian, Feist.
Here are a few photos from each of those shows from Thursday night.
