Yes, it’s a holiday weekend, but there are still a couple of show to check out tonight if you remained here in New York City. First up is the Field of Stars with Monica “Li’l Mo” Passin, Drina Seay, Homeboy Steve and Candy and Women. There will be loads of harmonies and lovely lyrics in this song circle.
Then at midnight, walk the few blocks over to The Rockwood Music Hall. There, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Nick Africano will play a set featuring songs from his newly released record, The Butterfly Bull. The album as a whole has a very Jeff Buckley-like feel to it.
