Andrew Gold died over the weekend at the way too young age of 59. He was involved with a large number of musicians through the years including Linda Ronstadt; see more information about Andrew’s background here. You might know him as the guy who wrote the songs used as the themes for Golden Girls and Mad About You. But if you were around listening to a radio in 1977, you would know him as the musician who had the hit Lonely Boy. So we’ll remember Andrew today with this live performance of Lonely Boy from the TV show Midnight Special.
