Now I’ve Heard Everything is very happy to offer you yet another ticket giveaway. This time The Rockwood Music Hall is offering a lucky reader two tickets to the September 16th performance of Sam and Ruby, with opener Dan Dyer.
I had not heard of Sam and Ruby before The Rockwood brought them to my attention. They have a fascinating back story as NPR noted:
Sam Brooker and Ruby Amanfu are not the likeliest of musical pairings. He’s from Wisconsin, and is into guitar. She hails from Ghana, was raised in Nashville and has roots planted firmly in the church. But together, they have discovered the power of collaboration.

I’ll admit that they are more folk and acoustic than I usually discuss here, but if you like them, this is a great chance to score a couple of tickets and to see Sam and Ruby up close. Enter the Sam and Ruby Giveaway by leaving a comment to this post, no purchase of anything is required. Free access to the Internet and entry to this giveaway may be available through your local public library. All entrants must residents of New York State, New Jersey or Connecticut, be at least 21 years of age and your completed entry shall constitute your certification that you comply with these requirements. Only one entry per person permitted; any additional entries shall be disregarded. Inappropriate, obscene and spam comments shall not be considered as entries. Employees of Now I’ve Heard Everything, The Rockwood Music Hall and their families are not be eligible for entry. All entries must be received by 7:00 am Eastern Time on September 14, 2010. The decision of Now I’ve Heard Everything as to the validity of an entry shall be final.
The Grand Prize for the Giveaway is two tickets to the Sam and Ruby Show at The Rockwood Music Hall in New York City on September 16, 2010. The value of the Grand Prize is $40. There will be no substitution for any part of the Grand Prize. Any taxes on the Grand Prize are the responsibility of the winner.
A winner will be chosen at random from all valid entries. Your chances of winning depends on the number of entrants. The Grand Prize will be awarded by The Rockwood Music Hall, where your name shall be placed at the door as the contest winner
The total liability of Now I’ve Heard Everything, its employees and its agents shall have with respect to the Sam and Ruby Giveaway, no matter what theory of liability or recovery, shall be limited to the value of the Grand Prize as defined previously in these rules. Your completed entry shall be your acceptance of this limitation of liability.
