The long holiday weekend isn’t quite over. If you’d like it to last just a little longer, head over to The Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2 tonight and see singer-songwriter Misty Boyce. I’ve seen Misty play as a solo and with a band. But whatever configuration she plays with, what you get is great songwriting, spirited playing and an energetic crowd and tonight, which is likely a full band show, should be no exception. Misty has great stage presence, writes excellent songs, plays loud and strong and sings like that too. As an added bonus, Misty will be giving away a download card for “a new old song we just recorded, called Blue Like Sea.”
If you come to The Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2 at 7:30pm, you’ll get to see a set by Nick Africano, who frequently joins Misty on several songs during her set. And right after Misty’s set, at 9:30pm, you can see Chris Cubeta and The Liars Club. Misty has joined them on stage from time to time as well.
