The day was supposed to be a scorcher, but by the time I made my way over to River Rocks on Pier 54, the weather wasn’t all that bad, and I was able to get up close to the stage to take these photos.
First band up was Dawes.

Here’s a picture of the photographer who was on stage almost as much as Phosphorescent.
With the show over, it was time go back int the New York night.
Both band put on great shows. The sad coda to this was just a few hours later, when Phosphorescent‘s van and all their equipment was stolen. More info on that here.
That’s absolutely horrible. I can’t imagine these instruments not showing up someplace, I wonder if the truck had some sort of GPS so it could be located. Hopefully these photos could be used at evidence at a future trial.
